Advent Day of Confessions 2018


“Prepare your hearts.  Prepare the Way of the Lord”.  The Catholic Parishes of North Bay present an Advent Day of Confessions on Tuesday, December 11 from 10:00 am – 8:00 pm at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption.  Priests will be available all day for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  As we prepare for Christmas, this is a great opportunity to encounter God’s mercy through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Confirmation Information Night

Wednesday, November 21 at 6:30 pm

in St. Peter’s Parish Hall.  Candidates and parents are asked to attend this meeting.  Sponsors are also welcome.  Please include a copy your Baptism Certificate with registration form, available from the Parish Office or on the church website  Candidates requesting the Sacrament of Confirmation are presumed to be in Grade 7 or 8 (or older) and to have previously received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.  If you are missing one or more of these sacraments, please call the Parish Office at 705-472-1817.

New Evangelization Summit 2018

Friday, April 27 from 7 PM to 9:30 PM and Saturday, April 28 from 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM the New Evangelization Summit will be live-streamed from Ottawa to North Bay at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall School.  The conference includes world class Catholic speakers Sr. Ann Shields, Curtis Martin, Michael Dopp, George Wiegel, Patrick Madrid and Christy Dupuis equipping us with the tools for evangelization and Catholicism in our world today.  Cost of $25 includes lunch and light refreshments.  Anyone wishing to attend is asked to register online or at their parish office.  Make cheques payable to North Bay Regional Parishes.  For information about the Summit visit the Ottawa website at  Online registration for NES at  For further inquiries contact Len at 492-8311 or the parish office.
