ARISE Together in Christ

Season 5 of ARISE Together in Christ will take place this fall. There will be six faith sharing sessions that invite us to embrace a new definition of ourselves as “We Are the Good News!” The first session helps us ponder on our reality of how well we are a welcoming parish. Good hospitality is essential for good evangelization. The rest of the season invites us to pray and share about evangelization and how we can sow seeds, how we can better listen to the Holy Spirit in the midst of our busy lives, how we can use our gifts and how ultimately we can be Good News for others. Please join us for six wonderful and challenging weeks this fall beginning the week of October

Catholic Education: Exploring Paths of Joy

Catholic Education Week takes place from Sunday, May 3 to Friday, May 8. The disciples asked Jesus to ‘increase our faith’. That is our goal in publicly funded Catholic education in collaboration with the family and the parish. We know that keeping the theme of faith alive is a constant challenge in the world of 2015. But, we can be assured by the words of the disciples, “were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road?” (Lk 24:32) We are in need of the support and prayers of the entire Catholic community to counteract the increasingly strident demand that the funding of Catholic schools be terminated. Once again we will have a province-wide mass scheduled for May 7, 2015 in our high schools organized by our Catholic Student Trustees.
