Confirmation

“The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. They belong in their fullness to Christ, Son of David. They complete and perfect the virtues of those who receive them. They make the faithful docile in readily obeying divine inspirations.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1831)

The Holy Spirit has gifts to give in all the sacraments. Confirmation is the completion of the rite of initiation into the Catholic Church. Prep classes for this sacrament are held monthly during the school year beginning in November. For more information about Confirmation Preparation, please contact Mrs. C. Hutson (705-840-3400) or the Parish Office.

Confirmation Preparation Sessions:

Preparation Sessions, hosted by “YEO” (Youth Evangelizing Others), will once again involve candidates from the entire North Bay region. Registration Forms are available from the Parish Office. You can download the registration form here: REGISTRATION – 2019 . Candidates requesting the Sacrament of Confirmation are presumed to be in Grade 7 or 8 (or older) and to have previously received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation, and First Eucharist. If you are missing one or more of these sacraments, please call the Parish Office at 705-472-1817. This is a great opportunity for you to meet other young people who are also preparing for their Confirmation. Come and engage in your faith and experience Jesus in the sacraments and prayer.
