Eucharist
“The Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life.” “The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1324)
Jesus feeds his disciples with special food which includes his words of advice which we hear in the scriptures, and in the tangible food which we call The Eucharist: bread that is transformed into the Body of Christ and wine that is transformed into the Blood of Christ. Nourished with this special food, we are sent out into the world to continue the work which he himself began: joyfully proclaiming the good news that we have heard and inviting others to discover the joy of knowing the one we call Jesus.
If you are confined to home, and would like to receive Communion on Sunday please call the Parish Office before 3:00pm on Thursday.
