First Reconciliation

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Each year, our parish community prepares students in Grade 2 and older for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. These are important moments in the spiritual development of your child.  Through these Sacraments your child will first come to know God’s forgiveness and loving mercy, and then be able to receive the real presence of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

At-Home Preparation

This year, we continue to ask that our parents help their child prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation from home. Each child will receive a preparation booklet which can be picked up from the Parish office during working hours:  (Tuesday-Friday 9am-12pm & 1-4pm; Monday 9am-12pm)

First Reconciliation

During the program we will provide updates for you and a checklist of where you should be in your preparation. Following the online program individual appointments to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) will be scheduled for each child with Father Francis in November 2021. Our Sacrament of First Reconciliation will be celebrated on:

Saturday, November 20th  –  @ St. Peter the Apostle Church

First Communion

In February 2021, we will reassess and decide whether our First Communion program will continue with online learning. All families will be notified and informed of any new updates as we may continue with at-home preparation.

Who can register

Our parish community invites young people in Grades 2 and older to register for these sacraments. By completing a registration form, your child will be registered for both sacraments.
