Reconciliation
“Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1422)
- Sacrament of Reconciliation is by appointment (contact the parish office).

2022
First Reconciliation
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Each year, our parish community prepares students in Grade 2 and older for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. These are important moments in the spiritual development of your child. Through these Sacraments your child will first come to know God’s forgiveness and loving mercy, and then be able to receive the real presence of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
Who can register
Your child will be eligible for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion if they are in Grade 2 or older and have not yet celebrated these sacraments. By attending our Parish meeting on October 11, 2022 and completing a registration form, your child will be registered for both sacraments.
How do I register?
Registration forms are also available online on our parish website (www.stpetertheapostle.ca/eucharist). Please submit the form by emailing it to stpeters@cogeco.net or bring the printed form to St. Peter’s Church with the completed information.
Parish Preparation
We will begin with a PARENTS ONLY MEETING

Baptismal Certificate
If your child was not baptized at St. Peter’s, we will need a copy of their Baptism certificate. Each candidate MUST provide a baptismal certificate. If your child was baptized at St. Peter the Apostle, their baptismal record will already be on file at the parish, and no further action from you is required. If your child was baptized at another church (Catholic or otherwise), you need to provide us with a copy of their Baptismal Certificate.
If you have a copy of it, you can simply scan it or take a picture of it and email it to our parish office (stpeters@cogeco.net). If you do not have a copy, you will have to contact the church where they were baptized and request a copy.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call 705-472-1817 or email the parish office stpeters@cogeco.net or contact Angelina at 705-840-2055.
A ONE TIME FEE of $30 is required to cover the cost of 2 books when registering.
